The Halifax Regional School Board has named the new high school in Eastern Passage, Island View High School.
The Governing Board accepted the recommendation from the school naming committee which had submitted a report listing three potential names in order of preference.
The new school is scheduled to be completed and turned over to the HRSB in time for opening in September 2018.
