A case of COVID-19 connected to South Woodside Elementary was confirmed on April 18.
Public Health is now working to identify any students and staff who may have been in close contact with the confirmed case.
Out of an abundance of caution, Public Health is recommending that all students and staff at South Woodside be tested for COVID-19, whether or not symptoms are present.
In consultation with Public Health, South Woodside will be closed to students until at least Thursday, April 22 to allow for a deep cleaning and contact tracing.
Students will learn from home during the closure and families of the school will receive an update on Wednesday, April 21.
