7 What do students enrolled in the Africentric Math Cohort at Auburn Drive High School (ADHS) have to say about their experience so far? After only seven weeks, students say they’re feeling supported, connected to their culture and excited about learning together! Since the beginning of the year, students have been working with mentors from Dalhousie University and Imhotep on a weekly basis. They’ve also taken a field trip to a Dalhousie physics lab and they’ve talked to Auburn alumni about their recent trip to Ghana. In this video, four students share their personal experiences in the cohort. Principal Karen Hudson also provides her perspective on how the pilot project is playing out and how the students are growing as confident learners.
