Putting the ‘A’ in STEMfest! STEMfest 2018 included an opportunity for students to engage in the arts, thanks to one of HRCE’s Fine Arts Specialists. Sabine Fels coordinated a workshop for students to participate in a collaborative art installation to be permanently housed in the main foyer of the Nova Centre as a legacy feature. Radiant Abyss involves a critical examination of society’s plastic use and the effects of plastic pollution on our oceans and waterways. The piece will be revealed in June. Learn more in this video. Seussical the Musical! HRA is thrilled to open its first HRCE-wide student musical! Seussical the Musical runs from December 6 to 8 at Dartmouth High School at 7 p.m. HRCE schools have the opportunity to see matinees on Wednesday, December 5 and Friday, December 7. Evening show tickets are $10 and $15. Seussical the Musical features students from Island View, Cole Harbour, Dartmouth High, Ellenvale, Eric Graves, J.L.Isley and Bicentennial. Halifax Regional Arts Music It’s concert season – and what a concert-filled month it has been! HRA choirs have shared the stage with the Stadacona Band, the Men of the Deeps, and performed for Christmas Daddies as well as at the NATO Parliamentary (right).
