At St. Joseph’s-Alexander MacKay (SJAM), students and staff invited families and other members of the school community to come together on February 26 to celebrate in their learning. Grade 5 students performed an original play about life in Africville; Grade 3 students showcased their Step entry for the Delmore “Buddy” Daye Learning Institute African Heritage Month Challenge (left); and Grade 1 students sang ‘Bring a Little Water, Sylvie’ with Linda Carvery (above). A number of other students showcased their written work. What an impactful celebration!
