And just like that… another school year is complete! Later this week, Grade 12 students will cross the stage at graduation ceremonies and begin their next chapter in life. On Friday, all other students will receive their final report cards – and summer break begins. It’s time to celebrate! It’s also time to thank everyone who supported students on their journeys of learning over the past ten months. Teachers, administrators, support staff, bus drivers, community partners, volunteers, families and friends: thank you for engaging learners, for being a guiding light and for providing awesome opportunities for students to experience new and exciting things. Thanks also for showing learners #OutrageousLove! Our collective job to support student achievement and well-being is the most important work there is. And when we get it just right?! Our students don’t hesitate to let us know: I also want to recognize our students for their accomplishments this year. I know (from experience) that students are often our greatest teachers inside and outside the classroom. Thank you for your hard work and excitement about learning. You remind us why we do what we do each and every day. Congratulations also to the Graduating Class of 2019 – your future is bright! I wish you the very best on the journey ahead.
