As outlined in Nova Scotias Back to School Plan, teachers are encouraged to hold classes and breaks outdoors as much as possible to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Students, staff and in many cases, community members, have taken the opportunity to help create inviting outdoor spaces for teaching and learning. Teachers are also demonstrating their innovative ways of using the outdoor school environment to enhance their lessons.
