Broad Street Consultation Update

Broad Street Consultation Update

This message was sent to families in the Charles P. Allen Family of Schools.

Families,

Our Virtual Town Hall has come to an end. Over the last few months, we have heard from families, staff, community members and students. Thanks to those who took the time to share their thoughts with us.

We heard from more than 1,900 participants who shared over 1,350 thoughts and offered more than 40,000 ratings on ThoughtExchange. To view a copy of the ThoughtExchange final report, click here. We have also received your input via email, voicemail, webform, and mail submissions.

While the town hall was underway, we met with School Advisory Councils and with school staff within the Charles P. Allen Family of Schools. We also heard from almost 300 students (in grades four through 12) who participated in an online survey where they shared their thoughts and ideas about the new school.

What’s next?

This month, HRCE will review all feedback gathered during our consultation. In addition, our planner is preparing the updated enrolment data we received last month. All this information will help us evaluate and finalize our plan, as well as inform our final decision.

We know everyone is eager for more information about these new schools. We will provide another update to you by the end of January.

As a reminder, you can find our proposals, maps, FAQ document, pictures, videos and other information about this consultation at www.hrce.ca/consult (redirected to here).

Thanks again to everyone who contributed to our consultation – your voice matters!

We look forward to providing our next update soon.

Sincerely,

Steve Gallagher
