Summer School 2026
HRCE 2026 Summer School will be hosted at Bedford Forsyth Education Centre's Bedford campus, Bedford Place Mall, suite 0070, Bedford Highway, Bedford. from Monday July 6, 2026 to Friday, July 31, 2026.
Summer School will offer Credit Recovery as well as Full Course options:
- Credit Recovery: To be eligible to complete course outcomes, a student must have received a final mark between 40% to 49%. Successful students will receive a mark of 50%.
- Full Course: To be eligible, a student must have taken the course this year. A full course is 20 days and the mark received in summer school will replace the students existing mark.
Students who have not earned the credit for the requested summer school course will be prioritized
Full Courses Offered: Course offering are based on enrolment. Families will be contacted by July 3 if a course will not be offered. All Math courses will be in person only.
- Math 10 at Work, Math 10 Academic, Math 11 at Work, Math 11 Academic, Math 11 Pre-Calculus, Math 12 Academic, Math 12 at Work
Credit Recovery Courses Offered:
- English 10 Academic, English 11 Academic, English 12 Academic (online only)
- Math 10 Essentials, Math 10 at Work, Math 10 Academic (In-person only)
- Math 11 Essentials, Math 11 at Work, Math 11 Academic (In-person only)
- Math 12 Essentials, Math 12 at Work, Math 12 Academic (In-person only)
Note: For all credit recovery Math courses – students will be contacted by the teacher on Monday July 6 to determine if they will be recovering their credit during the first 9 or last 9 days of Summer School. Session 1 begins on Tuesday, July 7, 8:30 a.m. - 1 p.m and will be Math 10 Academic only. Session 2 begins Monday, July 20, 8:30 a.m. - 1 p.m and will cover all other Math courses excluding Math 10 Academic.
Cost:
- Full Course (20 days): $325
- Credit Recovery (10 days): $200
Payment by credit card can be made via phone by calling 902-464-2000, ext. 4404. Cash or debit card payments must be done in person on Tuesday June 30, between the hours of 1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the Halifax Regional Centre for Education, 33 Spectacle Lake Drive, Dartmouth.
Please note: When selecting courses, please refer to your report card from this academic year to ensure accurate course selection. Supporting documentation can be submitted using the upload option in the Google registration form or provided during the in-person registration day on June 30.
