HRCE is growing! Learn more about the growth of our region here.
As the population continues to grow in Halifax Regional Municipality, student enrolment is rising in the Halifax Regional Centre for Education. Since September 30, our schools have welcomed more than 1,000 additional students.
With this growth comes the urgent need for additional learning spaces. Effective September 2023, there will be changes at some schools to address significant growth pressures.
Families in the following families of schools were notified about these changes on May 1, 2023:
Halifax West
J.L. Ilsley
Millwood
Woodlawn
