The following message was shared with all HRCE staff and families on Tuesday, October 27, 2026.

Families,

I am writing to let you know that as of now, CUPE has not provided 48 hours’ notice of job action. This means school will continue as usual on Wednesday and Thursday.

We know the ongoing uncertainty is difficult. We continue to hope an agreement can be reached and disruption to students, families and school communities can be avoided.

If anything changes, we will let you know as soon as we have confirmed information to share.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
