On September 2, 2026, HRM announced that the Student Transit Pass Program is continuing for the 2026-27 school year for students in Grades 7-12.

What you need to know:

• This year, the program is transitioning from physical transit passes to the HFXGO mobile app. Accounts will be set up for students using their existing GNSPES email addresses.
• Students will create their HFXGO account using their student email address and verify their account through the email they receive from noreply@justride.com. Passes are not issued automatically and may take up to a week to become available after verification.
• Current passes are valid until September 11, 2026.
• Students without access to a smartphone, or those who prefer not to use the app, may obtain a physical Student Transit Pass card through the school office.
